No recall candidate comes anywhere close to Governor Gray Davis when it comes to understanding the budget, our government, and other key issues facing California today. Although many of us have entered this race for various reasons, the plain truth is that none of us has the experience or the detailed knowledge that it would take to do a better job than Davis. Of course he's made some mistakes - how can we expect anyone to perform flawlessly when faced with the momentous task of managing a state the size of California in times of economic challenge? But to change leaders at this time would be to invite even more chaos and uncertainty, while the new governor gets up to speed on the issues, makes new appointments, and tries to instigate sweeping changes to the system.

That's why I urge all voters to Vote NO on Recall! The right thing to do now is to stay the course, and just make a few minor corrections to avoid the obstacles in our path, while maintaining the successes we've already achieved. When the proper time comes for a new election, may the best man, or woman, win. But right now, the best man for the job of Governor of California - is already doing it.
